The Terror of Woodsboro is Coming to Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns; New Gameplay Trailer Spotlights Ghostface from Scream Franchise

The terror of Woodsboro is coming to Liu’s Kang’s New Era! Warner Bros. Games today released a new Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns gameplay trailer spotlighting the upcoming downloadable content (DLC) guest fighter Ghostface, the recurring identity donned by antagonists from the Scream horror movie franchise, voiced by Roger L. Jackson. Ghostface will join the Mortal Kombat 1 roster on Nov. 19 as part of the early access period for Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns Expansion owners, followed by wide availability for purchase on Nov. 26.

In Mortal Kombat 1, panic has seized the realms as its citizens fear for who might be Ghostface’s next victim. The many killers who have worn the Ghostface mask all share a horrifying trait: they take joy in inflicting pain and taking lives. Armed with a menacing knife, an encyclopedic knowledge of horror films, and a psychopathic compulsion to torture, Ghostface has become an infamous symbol of terror.

Ghostface’s terrifying moveset is on full display in the new trailer, featuring the signature hunting knife to inflict pain on opponents, crawling skills for sneaky ground level attacks, and the ability to phone in a fellow Ghostface partner to help finish off victims. 

The video also reveals Ghostface’s chilling second Fatality and teases the fighter’s Animality, the brutal finishing move that morphs the character into a deadly vulture to annihilate defeated opponents. The fan favorite Animalities are available now as a free content update for all Mortal Kombat 1 owners.

Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns is a new expansion for Mortal Kombat 1, the latest installment in the acclaimed Mortal Kombat videogame franchise developed by award-winning NetherRealm Studios. Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns includes a new story expansion and Kombat Pack 2, which is comprised of  playable characters Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot (all available now), plus guest fighters Ghostface (coming Nov. 19), and Conan the Barbarian (release date to be announced) and T-1000 Terminator (release date to be announced), all of which players will have one week early access.
